Chapter 7 - The Cornered Animal’s Counterattack|

Patricia Vale was not the kind of woman to accept defeat easily. That very afternoon, social media exploded.

She had published a long post on Facebook and Instagram, accompanied by a candid photo of Emily crying inside my car on the night of the party.

The post was dripping with fake tears:

"I am writing these words through my tears. My son is breaking down. His mother-in-law, a manipulative and controlling woman, forced her pregnant daughter to abandon her family over a minor disagreement. She uses money to tear families apart. Please help my son get his wife and child back!"

Within hours, the post received thousands of shares. Toxic comments began pointing their fingers at me and Emily, calling me a "witch mother-in-law" and Emily a "spoiled brat."

“Mom, we have to issue a correction,” Emily panicked while reading the comments, her hand clutching her belly.

I calmly snatched the iPad from her hands and placed it face down on the table.

“No corrections needed. Any explanation right now will only satisfy a bloodthirsty mob. Let Patricia play the victim.”

“But what about our reputation?”

“Our reputation will be vindicated in a court of law. Patricia has no idea that the photo she posted violated a temporary restraining order. She just handed us direct evidence of stalking and harassment.”

I picked up my phone and called my PR team and lawyers.

“Prepare file number one,” I ordered. “It’s time to show the public what kind of person 'victim' Brandon really is.”
