Chapter 45

|

Grant’s intelligence network operated with terrifying efficiency. By the time Lily woke up the next morning, she had a complete, heavily encrypted dossier sitting in her inbox.

She sat at her small kitchen table, drinking a cup of strong coffee as she read through the document. The black SUV was registered to a private security firm in the city—a firm entirely owned by a parent company that Victor Thorne used for his corporate real estate ventures.

It was undeniable, documented proof of physical intimidation and stalking.

Lily printed the dossier, placed it carefully into her briefcase, and walked to the clinic. She bypassed her desk entirely and walked straight into Professor Hayes's office, closing the door behind her.

"Professor, Victor Thorne hired a private investigator to follow me home last night," Lily reported, her voice completely devoid of fear, vibrating only with a cold, righteous anger.

Professor Hayes looked up from her paperwork, her expression instantly darkening. "Are you unharmed? Did you call the police?"

"I am fine," Lily assured her, pulling the dossier from her briefcase and placing it on the desk. "I didn't call the police because Thorne's lawyers would spin it as a paranoid delusion by an overworked law student. Instead, I had the license plate traced to his corporate security firm."

Professor Hayes reviewed the documents, her eyes widening at the undeniable paper trail.

"This is incredible," Professor Hayes breathed. "He crossed a massive ethical and legal line. Lily, we can file an emergency restraining order, and we can petition the judge to have his entire legal team sanctioned for witness and counsel intimidation."

"I don't want a restraining order," Lily stated firmly, sitting down in the chair across from the desk. "If I file a restraining order, he looks like a threat. I want to file a formal motion for sanctions and present this evidence in open court during his deposition hearing. I want the judge to see exactly what kind of monster he is, right before we expose his financial fraud. I want him absolutely dismantled."

Professor Hayes looked at the young woman sitting across from her. She didn't see a student anymore; she saw a fully forged, incredibly lethal legal advocate.

"Draft the motion," Professor Hayes smiled fiercely. "We drop the hammer on Monday."
