Chapter 15 - No Mercy

The shipyard was eerily quiet, shrouded in thick fog rolling off the dark water.
Arthur and Simon stood shivering under a broken streetlight, clutching a silver flash drive like it was a holy relic. When my black SUV pulled up, they practically fell over themselves running toward it.
I stepped out into the damp air, flanked by Elias and four armed guards.
“We have it!” Arthur cried, holding out the drive. “Everything is on here, Adrian. Audio, emails, bank transfers. It proves Dad orchestrated the whole thing!”
Elias took the drive and plugged it into a decryptor. He nodded to me. The files were real.
“Good,” I said softly.
Simon let out a massive sigh of relief, wiping the rain from his face. “So we can go? You’ll let us leave?”
“You helped him hold her down,” I stated, my voice devoid of any emotion.
The brothers froze.
“You held my wife down while he murdered my child.”
“We had no choice!” Arthur shrieked, backing away. “We gave you what you wanted! You promised us a deal!”
“I promised to meet you,” I corrected. “I never promised you freedom.”
I nodded to Elias.
My men moved faster than the brothers could process. Before they could scream, heavy cloth bags were pulled over their heads, and they were forced to their knees. Zip-ties bit into their wrists.
“No! Please! Adrian!” their muffled screams echoed across the empty docks.

“Load them into Container 404,” I ordered, turning my back on them. “Weld the doors shut. The cargo ship leaves for a black-site prison in international waters in an hour. They will spend the rest of their miserable lives in a 10x10 steel box.”
Eight brothers gone. One monster left.
