Chapter 60 - The Eastern Horizon

The morning sun rose hot and bright over Macao, casting long, golden reflections across the South China Sea.
I stood on the balcony of the ruined penthouse, looking out over the city. My emerald dress was torn and stained with soot and Elias’s blood, but my posture remained completely unbroken.
Elias stepped out onto the balcony, his arm bound tightly in a white sling.
"The local police have been bribed," Elias reported gruffly. "The buyers have fled the country, and the mess is being cleaned up. We secured the remaining European funds."
"We survived," I said quietly, gripping the glass railing. "But the Ghost proved his point. He bypassed our security, infiltrated our inner circle, and nearly destroyed everything my mother built with a single keystroke."
"He made a mistake, Emily," Elias said, stepping beside me. "He let you see his face. We can hunt him now."
I looked down at my hands. They were bruised and cut from smashing the terminal, but they were the hands of a Sovereign. I had defeated Marcus Kane. I had destroyed Victoria Sterling. And now, the criminal underworld of Asia was challenging my throne.
"Jax," I said, tapping my earpiece.
"I'm here, Boss," Jax replied, his voice exhausted but steady.
"Trace the trajectory of the zipline the Ghost used to escape," I ordered, my eyes hardening into cold steel. "Track every private flight out of Macao. Hack the Yakuza’s shell companies. I don't care how long it takes, find me his true name."
"And when I find it?" Jax asked.
I turned away from the rising sun, the golden signet ring of the European Council gleaming brightly on my finger.
"We mobilize the entire American and European Syndicates," I declared, my voice carrying the absolute, terrifying authority of a queen preparing for global war. "We are going to Tokyo. And we are going to teach the Ghost that the dark belongs to me."

The game wasn't over. The board had simply gotten larger.
And I never lose.
