Chapter 30 - The Confession on Tape

"You destroyed millions of pesos in equipment," Natalia said, leaning forward and resting her hands on the desk. "You threatened my mother's home. You hired Javier to terrorize my family."

"And it worked flawlessly," Salazar smirked, leaning back in the chair, supremely confident in his absolute power. "You see, Natalia, women like you believe you can play in the men's arena. But when the violence starts, you always fold. Now, sign the transfer documents, and I will call off the strike team scheduled to visit your mother's house tomorrow night. If you refuse, the house burns."

Javier laughed, leaning over the desk. "Just sign it, Natalia. You lost. It’s over."

"Yes," Natalia said softly. "It is."

She reached under the desk and pressed a small, hidden panic button she had installed earlier that morning.

In the surveillance van down the street, the federal agents heard the unmistakable, crystal-clear confession of extortion, corporate sabotage, and conspiracy to commit arson. The lead agent gave the signal.

Inside the office building, the elevators simultaneously locked down. The stairwell doors were breached by heavily armed federal tactical teams.

Salazar pulled a pen from his jacket pocket and slid the transfer documents across the glass desk. "Sign on the dotted line, my dear."

Natalia didn't pick up the pen. She simply leaned back in her ergonomic chair and offered them both a cold, devastating smile.

"I don't think I will," Natalia replied.

Salazar’s smile vanished. "Excuse me? If you don't sign that paper, your mother—"

The heavy oak doors of the office did not open; they were violently kicked ajar. A dozen federal agents wearing tactical vests and carrying assault rifles poured into the room, their weapons aimed directly at Salazar and Javier.

"Federal Police! Nobody move! Keep your hands where we can see them!" the lead agent roared, sweeping the room.

Salazar froze, his arrogant facade shattering into absolute, paralyzing horror. Javier let out a pathetic, high-pitched yelp, stumbling backward and falling over a chair in his desperate attempt to retreat.
