Chapter 19 - The Final Warning
Daniel let out a horrific, chilling, and entirely unnatural laugh.
"You still don't understand, do you, Valeria?"
Daniel smiled, a terrifying, bloody grin spreading across his face.
Valeria frowned, a sudden, cold knot of dread forming tightly in her stomach.
"Understand what?"
Valeria demanded as the paramedics lifted her stretcher off the ground.
Daniel looked deliberately down at her stomach.
"I am not the only person in this family who wanted that child completely erased,"
Daniel stated softly.
Valeria felt the blood drain entirely from her face. A freezing, paralyzing chill rushed down her spine.
"Who else?"

Valeria asked, her voice trembling wildly.
Before Daniel could utter another word, the SWAT commander grabbed him by the collar, dragging him roughly toward the exit to an awaiting police ambulance.
