Chapter 35 - The Final Injunction
The total dissolution of Julian Sterling’s assets left one final, lingering legal detail to be executed. To permanently protect the Vale Global Fund from any future legacy claims from Daniel’s former partners, Marcus Vance filed a comprehensive, international permanent injunction in federal court.
The hearing took place on a cold November morning. The federal courtroom was quiet, sterile, and entirely functional.
Emma sat at the plaintiff’s table, flanked by Marcus and Richard. Across the aisle sat the legal representatives of the remaining secondary creditors of Vanguard Acquisitions—men who were still trying to recover scraps from the corporate wreckage.
The federal judge, a stern woman with thirty years of bench experience, reviewed the final filings.
"The evidence presented by the Vale Global Fund is absolute and unassailable," the judge declared, her gavel resting in her hand. "The court finds that the legacy claims brought by the secondary creditors are entirely fraudulent, stemming from corrupt networks that have been legally dissolved by this body. The permanent injunction is hereby granted."
The judge looked down at Emma, offering a rare, respectful nod from the bench. "Mrs. Vale, this court commends your systematic, clinical execution of transparency mandates. You have cleaned up a sector of this city’s financial market that many believed was completely untouchable."
Gavel slam.
The courtroom cleared quickly. The lawyers for the creditors packed their briefcases in absolute silence, leaving the room without looking back.
Emma stood in the center of the empty aisle, letting out a long, quiet breath. The legal architecture was complete. Every loophole was welded shut. Every boundary was permanently fortified by federal decree.
