Chapter 12 - The Revelation

Daniel stood paralyzed in his own living room. The blood drained from his face as his mind frantically tried to process the scene unfolding before him. He recognized the man standing in his foyer. It was impossible not to. He had seen Richard Harrison on the cover of Forbes magazine just last month, lauded as one of the most powerful and ruthless businessmen in the western hemisphere. He was a titan of finance, real estate, and global logistics. And right now, this titan was looking at Daniel with an expression of absolute, terrifying disgust.

"Dad?" Emma’s soft voice broke the silence.

The word hit Daniel like a physical blow to the chest. Dad. He stumbled backward, his knee hitting the edge of the coffee table. The air was sucked out of his lungs. The quiet, unassuming graphic designer he had married, the woman his mother had mercilessly degraded for being "empty-handed" and "lower class," was the sole heir to the Harrison empire. The realization was staggering, horrifying, and complete.

Margaret, completely ignorant of the business world, let out a nervous, high-pitched laugh. "What is this? Is this some kind of sick joke? Who are you people?" she demanded, attempting to summon her usual haughty authority, though her voice shook violently.

Richard Harrison didn't even acknowledge Margaret's existence. He didn't look at her. His gaze remained locked on his daughter. When he saw her pale face, the dark circles under her eyes, and the sheer exhaustion radiating from her pregnant frame, a dangerous muscle twitched in his jaw. He wanted to burn the house to the ground. He wanted to ruin the people who had dared to break his child. But he possessed a ruthless discipline, knowing that true justice requires methodical destruction.

"Emma, sweetheart," Richard said, his voice softening only for her. "Are you ready to go home?"
