The board members looked at me through the screen, waiting for my command. Despite being the owner of the trust, I was still the woman whose life had been systematically targeted.
"Members of the Board," I spoke clearly, addressing the executives. "Cross Enterprises employs over four thousand innocent workers. Engineers, maintenance crews, secretaries, and sales reps who have families to feed."
The Chairman spoke up. "Ms. Vance... what do you wish us to do?"
"I am not going to burn this company to the ground to punish Julian," I said. "That would make me as heartless as he is. Effective immediately, Helios Capital is executing its right under Section 14B."
Julian looked up from the floor, terror in his eyes.
"Julian Cross and Chloe Bennett are stripped of all executive authority," I declared. "Their shares are frozen pending federal investigation for corporate fraud and attempted conservatorship abuse. An interim CEO appointed by Vance Global will take over management by noon today."
"No! You can't do this!" Chloe shrieked as two security officers grabbed her arms, pulling her toward the exit. "Julian, do something!"
"Get your hands off me!" Julian screamed, struggling against the guards as they lifted him from the floor. "Evelyn! Please! Think about our baby! She needs a father!"
"She needs a father," I agreed softly, staring at him through the screen. "Not a monster."

"Take them away," Arthur commanded.
The guards dragged Julian and Chloe out of the boardroom, their panicked screams fading down the carpeted hallway.
