Chapter 3 - Level Three Cameras|

I walked over to the reception desk and asked to speak directly with the restaurant manager, Sonia Patel. She was a sharp, observant woman who had come to know me well through the numerous corporate events Morgan Events Group had hosted at this venue over the years.

"Sonia, do the parking garage cameras cover the entirety of Level Three?" I asked.

My voice was completely flat, stripped of any underlying emotion. Her expression changed immediately when I provided the exact timeframe of the incident. Without asking a single intrusive question, she quietly led me into a small, cramped office behind the kitchen area. Sonia manipulated the computer system with practiced ease, and soon, a short but devastating forty-three-second clip appeared on the screen. It was more than enough to completely erase twelve years of my marriage. The image of the two traitors wrapped around each other was agonizingly clear.

But that was not the end of the nightmare. Sonia, with her keen professional eye, noticed a crucial detail that had completely slipped past my overwhelmed mind: Ethan's SUV and Madison's car had been parked in that exact same secluded corner twice during the previous month. She pulled up the archive history, and together we watched the footage of them arriving at the restaurant together on two specific nights—nights when Ethan had explicitly told me he was working late at the corporate office.

"I can preserve these video files for you," Sonia said. "But according to the restaurant's security policy, I'll need a formal written request from you before releasing any copies."

"I'll send it right now," I replied without hesitation.

I opened the email app on my phone, drafted a formal data extraction request under my capacity as a VIP client, and sent it straight to Lark & Pine's management. The first piece of undeniable evidence was now firmly in my grasp.
