Standing on the front porch, I took a deep, cleansing breath of the crisp autumn morning air. The heavy wooden door slammed shut firmly behind me, permanently locking away twelve years of naive youth, blind trust, and wasted love.

I sat comfortably in my spacious new corner office, holding baby Lily securely in my arms. Bright morning sunlight streamed through the large glass windows, illuminating the stacks of lucrative new contracts I had just successfully negotiated myself.
