Chapter 15 - The New Path

Celeste stood up, gathering her purse. "I won't bother you again, Claire. I just needed to say it."

"Take care of yourself, Celeste," I said.

As she walked out the door, I felt a profound sense of closure. The final chapter of the Bellacourt saga was written, and the ink was finally dry.

The vineyard flourished under the cooperative model. We implemented sustainable farming practices, prioritizing the health of the land and the well-being of the workers. The wine we produced wasn't just a symbol of luxury; it was a testament to resilience and shared prosperity.

One afternoon, I was walking through the vineyards with Hope, showing her the ripening grapes. She reached out and gently touched a cluster, her eyes wide with wonder.

"Mommy, look!" she exclaimed. "They're almost ready!"

"They are, sweetie," I smiled. "Soon we'll be making wine."

"Can I help?" she asked eagerly.

"Of course you can," I replied, ruffling her hair. "You're part of this vineyard now. It belongs to all of us."

As we walked back towards the main house, I saw a familiar car pull into the driveway. It was Mara.

"Hey there, stranger," she called out, stepping out of her car.

"Mara! What a surprise," I said, greeting her with a hug. "What brings you out here?"

"Just passing through," she smiled. "Thought I'd check in on the new boss lady."

"The boss lady is doing just fine," I laughed. "Come on in, I'll make us some tea."
