Chapter 32 - The London Expansion

With our domestic position absolutely unassailable, Vale Medical Systems was ready to step onto the global stage. The overwhelming success of the Vale-S1 Stent had created an massive international demand for our biomedical products. To facilitate this, we needed a permanent headquarters in Europe.

I flew to London on our corporate jet, accompanied by Jonathan and my core executive team. We were viewing a massive, state-of-the-art commercial skyscraper in the heart of the financial district, overlooking the River Thames.

The real estate broker, a polished British executive, was nervously giving us the tour. He knew he was dealing with one of the most powerful women in the corporate world, and he was sweating through his expensive suit.

"As you can see, Mrs. Vale, the top three floors are entirely dedicated to executive suites," the broker stammered, gesturing to the sprawling, empty space with floor-to-ceiling glass. "The lower levels possess heavy-load architectural reinforcement, perfect for your biomedical R&D labs."

I walked to the edge of the glass, looking out over the historic city. The expansion represented more than just corporate growth; it was the final, undeniable proof that I had built an empire that transcended borders.

"It’s an excellent space," Jonathan noted, standing beside me. "The logistics team has already cleared the zoning for bio-hazard safety. We could have the labs operational within six months."

I turned to the broker. "What is the asking price for the entire building?"

He swallowed hard. "Two hundred and fifty million pounds, madam."

I didn't flinch. I didn't consult a financial advisor. I knew our exact cash reserves, fueled by the monumental profits of the new stent.

"I will offer two hundred and thirty million, paid entirely in liquid cash, with a close date of next Friday," I stated smoothly. "I do not finance, and I do not wait. Do we have a deal?"

The broker’s eyes widened in absolute shock at the sheer volume of cash being deployed. "I... I believe my clients will find that exceptionally agreeable, Mrs. Vale."

"Excellent," I smiled. "Jonathan, coordinate the wire transfers with our legal team. Welcome to Vale Medical Europe."

We had conquered Chicago. Now, we were conquering the world.
