Chapter 25 - The Golden Skyline

|
The sun was beginning to set over Madrid, casting a spectacular, breathtaking blanket of fiery orange and deep violet across the sprawling city.
Alejandro and Isabella stood together on the massive, open-air terrace of their penthouse, looking out over the endless horizon. The chaotic noise of the city streets below was a distant, peaceful hum.
Isabella leaned her arms against the thick glass railing, the warm evening breeze gently catching her hair. She looked at the towering silhouettes of the buildings her father had built, her eyes reflecting the golden light of the setting sun.
"It is beautiful tonight, Papa," Isabella said softly, the peace in her voice absolute and undeniable.
"It is," Alejandro agreed, stepping up beside her and resting his arm comfortably across her shoulders.
He looked down at his daughter. The scars on her hands had faded so much they were practically invisible, a faint memory of a nightmare that had long since lost its power. The Isabella Foundation had successfully rescued hundreds of children that year, and the company was thriving. The past was firmly locked away in cold cells and demolished estates.
"Papa?" Isabella asked, looking up at him.
"Yes, mi pequeña?"
"Do you think we will build something even bigger next year?" she asked, a spark of ambitious excitement in her eyes.
May you like
Alejandro smiled, looking out at the vast, unwritten future stretching beautifully before them. He thought of the dark, desperate day in the High Court, the terrifying nights of holding her through the nightmares, and the long, hard road to healing. They had not just survived the storm; they had learned how to command it.
"I think," Alejandro said softly, pulling her into a tight, loving embrace, "that we are going to build absolutely anything we want."
