Chapter 20 - Selling the Nightmare

|

The massive, sprawling Marbella estate sat under the blazing afternoon sun. Its stark white walls and imposing iron gates, once a symbol of immense wealth, now simply looked like a beautiful, sterile prison.

Alejandro stood on the manicured front lawn, wearing dark sunglasses, watching as a team of real estate agents hammered a massive "FOR SALE" sign into the pristine grass.

Elena walked up beside him, holding a digital tablet.

"We have three aggressive bids already," Elena noted, swiping through the screen. "A Russian tech billionaire, a British investment group, and a hotel developer who wants to bulldoze the entire property and build a luxury resort."

"Sell it to the developer," Alejandro ordered without a second of hesitation.

Elena raised an eyebrow. "His bid is two million euros lower than the Russian’s offer."

"I do not care about the money," Alejandro stated coldly, staring at the grand front doors where Isabella had been forced to scrub the marble until she bled. "I want to see the bulldozers tear this cursed place to the ground. I want the foundation ripped up. I want every single trace of what happened here erased from the face of the earth."

Elena nodded, understanding the profound, protective anger driving the decision. "I will draft the contract and expedite the demolition permits immediately."

Alejandro took one final look at the sprawling estate. He did not feel a shred of nostalgia for the summers spent by the pool or the grand parties hosted in the gardens. The property was tainted, soaked in the dark memories of Carmen’s cruelty and Beatriz’s betrayal.

He turned on his heel and walked toward his waiting car. He was closing the final door on the past, ensuring that no shadow of Marbella could ever reach out and touch his daughter again.
