Chapter 22 - The Isabella Foundation

|
The grand ballroom of the Ritz Hotel in Madrid was packed with Spain’s wealthiest philanthropists, business moguls, and high-profile politicians. Alejandro stood at the main podium, the bright stage lights illuminating his sharp, commanding features.
"Thank you all for being here tonight," Alejandro spoke clearly into the microphone, his voice echoing across the silent ballroom. "For the past decade, Vance Development has focused on building towers of glass and steel. But true strength is not measured by the height of our buildings. It is measured by how we protect our most vulnerable."
He paused, looking down at the front row where Isabella sat between Rosa and Elena, wearing a beautiful blue dress and smiling proudly.
"Over the past year, my family experienced a profound darkness," Alejandro continued, his tone turning serious and deeply emotional. "We learned firsthand that cruelty can hide behind locked doors and immense wealth. But we also learned that light, when given the chance, can shatter any shadow."
A large screen behind him lit up, displaying the logo of a newly formed charity. It featured a simple, beautiful drawing of a strong, towering fortress with a bright yellow sun overhead—the exact drawing Isabella had created on her first day of freedom.
"Tonight, I am incredibly proud to announce the official launch of The Isabella Foundation," Alejandro declared. "This organization, funded with an initial endowment of fifty million euros from Vance Development, will provide immediate legal rescue, emergency shelter, and comprehensive psychological care for children trapped in abusive domestic environments across Spain."
