Chapter 24 - The Legacy

|
Five years later.
The Madrid skyline had evolved, heavily marked by the soaring, ultra-modern skyscrapers erected by Vance Architecture & Development. The firm was more successful than ever, recognized globally for its innovative designs and unshakeable corporate integrity.
Inside the massive corner office, Alejandro stood at his drafting table, reviewing a complex blueprint for a new hospital wing in Barcelona.
"The load-bearing pillars need to be reinforced by another two meters," a confident, bright voice said from across the table.
Alejandro looked up, a warm, immense smile spreading across his face.
Isabella, now a brilliant, thriving thirteen-year-old, stood leaning over the blueprints. She was wearing a sharp, tailored blazer, her dark hair pulled back in a neat ponytail. She held a silver drafting pencil, pointing expertly at a structural flaw in the design.
"You think so?" Alejandro asked, stepping back to let her take the lead.
"I know so," Isabella replied with absolute certainty. "If we do not reinforce the foundation here, the upper levels will suffer stress fractures during heavy storms. The building must be unshakeable from the ground up."
Alejandro felt a profound wave of pride wash over him. She was no longer the terrified, broken child crying in the dark shadows of Marbella. She was fierce, highly intelligent, and completely unbroken. She was the heir to an empire, but more importantly, she was a survivor who had learned exactly how to build a fortress.

"You are absolutely correct, Señorita Vance," Alejandro nodded respectfully, handing her a red pen. "Make the adjustments."
Isabella smiled, a brilliant, radiant expression of pure joy and confidence, and began to redraw the lines, securing the foundation with perfect, steady hands.
