Alejandro felt his heart completely shatter, but the executive CEO inside him, the protector of his family, instantly took over.

He did not yell. He did not cry.

He pulled Valeria tightly against his chest, wrapping his body entirely around hers, shielding her and his unborn child from the toxic nightmare above them.

"Call the police,"

Alejandro ordered his security chief, his voice cold and devoid of any familial mercy.

"Don't let her leave that balcony."

Several wealthy guests, finally snapping out of their terrified shock, had already pulled out their cell phones and were dialing emergency services.

In the distance, the loud, wailing sounds of approaching police sirens and ambulances began to cut through the night air, growing rapidly louder as they approached the iron gates of the estate.
