The day finally came when we officially, entirely stepped away from the empire.
Julian, now a brilliant, seasoned leader in his own right, was formally inaugurated as the sole CEO of the family conglomerate.
We stood in the back of the massive auditorium as Julian delivered his acceptance speech.
"I stand here today, not just as an executive, but as the grateful son of two people who taught me that true power is not found in intimidation, but in absolute integrity,"
Julian announced, looking directly at us through the crowd.
The entire auditorium erupted into a thunderous standing ovation.
"He is ready,"
Alexander whispered in my ear, clapping proudly for his son.
