Leo argued, his eyes burning with an intense, familiar ambition.
I watched from the doorway as Alexander looked at the boy, his chest swelling with undeniable pride.

Alexander said smoothly, tapping the tablet.
"But you are missing one crucial variable. Relief funds keep people alive today so they can use the educational grants tomorrow. Efficiency is vital, but empathy is what makes us different from the monsters."
