The weeks following the court hearing swept through Denver like a legal hurricane.
The District Attorney’s office launched a massive criminal investigation into Preston Caldwell, Celeste Arden, and Dr. Leonard Voss. Armed with the forensic evidence, server metadata, and Celeste Arden’s full criminal confession, prosecutors laid out a thirty-four-count indictment charging Preston with racketeering, wire fraud, grand larceny, and corporate forgery.
Dr. Leonard Voss was arrested at his private psychiatric clinic. His medical license was permanently revoked by the State of Colorado, and he faced federal conspiracy charges for prescribing heavy, unwarranted sedatives to a pregnant woman in exchange for illegal kickbacks funneled through Alpine Legacy Management.
Celeste Arden pleaded guilty to reduced charges of grand theft and accessory to fraud. In exchange for her full testimony against Preston, she received a six-year prison sentence and was ordered to pay full financial restitution to the Hart estate.
Every dollar Preston had attempted to siphon away was tracked down by forensic accountants and restored to Nora’s control. The historic Breckenridge cabin was saved from sale, its stone foundation remaining securely in the Hart family trust where it belonged.
