Chapter 15 - The Mobile Command

The interior of the black sedan was a stark contrast to the freezing, garbage-strewn alleyway. It smelled of expensive leather and ozone. The backseat had been entirely retrofitted into a mobile command center. A bank of high-definition monitors glowed intensely, casting a pale blue light over the specialized, encrypted keyboards bolted to the console.
The man in the topcoat slid into the front passenger seat, while a silent, heavily armed driver put the car into gear. They pulled away smoothly, merging into the sparse, late-night city traffic.
"You have thirty minutes before the international markets begin their pre-trading algorithms," the man instructed, pointing to the primary terminal. "Input the legacy codes. Open the backdoor. My team will execute the asset drain automatically once the firewall falls."
Jasper sat in the luxurious leather seat, his hands hovering over the illuminated keyboard. It had been years since he had touched high-end, responsive hardware. The keys felt perfectly balanced, begging to be struck. He closed his eyes for a fraction of a second, digging deep into the archives of his memory. The alphanumeric sequences were incredibly complex, tied to dates, encrypted phrases, and forgotten corporate milestones.
He began to type.
The rhythmic, rapid-fire clicking filled the silent cabin of the sedan. Line after line of green code cascaded across the black screens. The system threw up heavy encryption blocks, threatening to lock the IP address, but Jasper effortlessly bypassed them, using the administrative ghost protocols he had secretly installed a decade ago.
"Fascinating," the man in the front seat murmured, watching the progress bar surge forward. "Victoria always claimed she was the genius behind the corporate architecture. It appears she severely underestimated the architect."
"Victoria is a brilliant strategist," Jasper muttered, his eyes locked on the glowing text. "But she never understood the foundation. She only cared about the penthouse."
He hit the final command sequence. A massive red warning icon flashed on the screen, demanding a twenty-four-character biometric override. Jasper smiled grimly, typing in a master sequence designed to mimic a catastrophic server failure, forcing the system into a hard reboot that temporarily dropped all biometric requirements.
The red warning vanished. The screen turned a brilliant, welcoming blue.

Jasper leaned back, his pulse pounding in his ears. He had done it. He had handed the keys to Victoria's kingdom over to her executioners.
"Excellent work, Jasper," the man said, pulling a suppressed pistol from his coat and aiming it directly at Jasper’s chest. "Unfortunately, your flight to Zurich has been canceled."
