Chapter 10 - The Doors Breach

The entire ballroom turned toward the shattered entrance.

Guillermo Luján stepped through the doorway. He didn't look like a tech billionaire attending a gala; he looked like a warlord entering a conquered city. He was flanked by a massive wall of muscle—a dozen heavily armed private security contractors in tactical suits. Behind them marched six uniformed police officers, their hands resting cautiously on their service weapons.

Guillermo did not shout. He did not wave his arms. The sheer, radiating fury in his posture was enough to freeze the blood of every billionaire in the room.

Mauricio froze mid-swing, the leather belt hanging limply from his hand. His perfectly composed face finally cracked, revealing genuine, unfiltered confusion and fear.

"What is the meaning of this?" Emilio demanded, stepping forward from the crowd, trying to project his usual legal authority. "This is a private event! You are trespassing!"

Guillermo completely ignored the lawyer. He didn't even look at Doña Rebeca, who had stood up from her chair, her face pale and trembling.

Guillermo’s eyes were locked entirely on the bruised, kneeling figure of his daughter in the center of the room.

He walked forward. The crowd of elites scrambled frantically to get out of his way, parting like grass before a scythe. His heavy footsteps echoed in the silent hall.

Raquel slowly raised her head. Through her blurred, tear-filled vision, she saw her father approaching. He hadn't been there when she graduated. He hadn't been there when she walked down the aisle. But he was here now, exactly when it mattered most.

Guillermo stopped in front of Mauricio. The younger man took a terrified step backward, suddenly realizing that his wealth was absolutely nothing compared to the empire of the man standing before him.
