Clara opened the message.
You found it. Good. Keep it safe. The storm is coming, Clara. And Chicago will need its Queen.
The message deleted itself three seconds after she read it.
"It's a warning," Clara said, showing the blank screen to Dominic. "Someone out there is watching out for us. Or setting us up for a much larger war."
Dominic took the ledger from her hands, his expression grim and resolute.
"Whoever they are, they just handed us the ultimate weapon," Dominic said. "We secure this ledger. We move your mother to an even deeper location. And we prepare."

That evening, they hosted a private dinner for Dominic’s most trusted capos. Clara sat at the head of the table beside her husband, wearing the emerald silk dress that had started it all—cleaned, repaired, and worn as a badge of honor.
The men toasted to her, their respect absolute and unquestionable. She was no longer a secret. She was the foundation upon which the new Russo empire was built.
As the dinner concluded, Dominic stood up, raising his glass.

"To the Queen," the men echoed.
