Chapter 14 - The Final Blow|

The judge slammed his wooden gavel down hard, bringing the noisy courtroom to an immediate silence.
“Mr. Harrison,” the judge demanded, his tone turning dangerously sharp. “Can you verify the authenticity of these digital communications?”
“They have been fully authenticated by the Cyber Crimes Division of the State Police, Your Honor,” Arthur replied confidently. “Furthermore, we are officially submitting additional evidence documenting a systematic pattern of severe domestic abuse, unauthorized credit card fraud exceeding two hundred thousand dollars, and intentional public defamation.”
Brandon violently leaped to his feet, knocking his leather chair over backward.
“That’s a lie! They hacked my phone! They’re making everything up to steal my family’s assets!” Brandon shrieked, pointing wildly at Arthur.
“Your assets?” I spoke up from the gallery, my voice cool and cutting. “You don't own a single thing, Brandon.”
“Order in the court!” the judge shouted, slamming his gavel three times in rapid succession. “Mr. Vale, if you utter another word without permission, I will have the bailiff place you in contempt immediately!”
Brandon collapsed back onto his knees, breathing heavily as his lawyer desperately tried to pull him back down.
The judge spent the next thirty minutes reviewing the thick stack of medical records, police reports, and financial forensics submitted by our team. When he finally looked up, his expression was colder than ice.
“This court finds a horrifying pattern of financial exploitation, emotional cruelty, and predatory behavior from the defense,” the judge announced firmly.
He raised his pen and began signing the official court decree.

“It is the ruling of this court that full legal and physical custody of baby Lily Vance is granted exclusively to the mother, Emily Vance. Mr. Brandon Vale is stripped of all visitation rights indefinitely. Furthermore, Mr. Vale is ordered to pay full financial restitution for all unauthorized credit card charges and clear all outstanding debts immediately.”
The final strike of the gavel echoed through the room like a thunderclap. The Vale family’s grand scheme was officially dead.
