Chapter 12

The next twenty-four hours were a masterclass in relentless, exhausting preparation. Elena did not sleep. She and Rosa sat at the massive dining room table, surrounded by towering stacks of physical ledgers, digital printouts, and banking routing histories. They were dissecting every single dollar the foundation had ever spent, building an impenetrable fortress of truth to counter Sterling’s lies.
"The fabricated documents Sterling leaked use a specific cryptographic stamp," Rosa pointed out, highlighting a blurred string of numbers on her tablet at 4:00 AM. "It’s subtle, but it matches the exact internal routing protocol Julian’s father used five years ago."
"Victoria gave him the old templates," Elena concluded, drinking her fourth cup of black coffee. "He just photoshopped our new letterheads onto the old corrupt ledgers."
"But how do we prove that to the press without sounding like paranoid conspiracy theorists?" Rosa asked, rubbing her tired eyes.
Julian walked into the dining room, fully dressed in his business suit, carrying a secure USB drive.
"By providing the metadata," Julian said, dropping the silver drive onto the table. "David and the cyber team cracked the origin point of the leaked documents. They didn't come from our servers. They originated from an IP address registered to a private yacht currently docked in Palm Beach."
Elena looked at the USB drive, a brilliant, dangerous smile spreading across her face. "Sterling’s yacht."
"Exactly," Julian nodded, resting his hands on Elena’s shoulders, massaging the deep tension in her muscles. "You have the undeniable proof that the documents are forgeries, and you have the origin point of the smear campaign. Are you ready for the cameras, my love?"
"I am more than ready," Elena said, standing up and smoothing down her elegant, professional dress. "I am going to completely dismantle that man on live television."

"Remember the objective," Julian cautioned softly. "Don't just defend the foundation. Pivot the narrative. Make Sterling look like a coward attacking maternal health for corporate greed."
"I am going to make him radioactive," Elena promised. "Rosa, get the car ready. We are going to Manhattan."
