I ignored his pathetic pleas and opened a new terminal on my laptop, accessing our banking records. I logged directly into our joint account. It held almost three million pesos that I had deposited to cover domestic expenses and fund Trevor’s imaginary business ventures.
With three clean clicks, I initiated an immediate, wire transfer, moving every single cent out of the joint fund and into my private, unlinked corporate account.
Years ago, Trevor had laughed when he signed our prenuptial agreement, mocking me for being an "insecure woman" who was already planning for a divorce. Now, that exact piece of paper legally protected every asset I owned.
Next, I systematically targeted our line of credit:
I blocked every supplementary credit card issued under my name.
I terminated the authorized user access on our luxury store accounts.
I deactivated the corporate gas cards.
