Chapter 18 - The Fall

My mother went entirely pale, the color draining from her face as the reality of the legal document set in. Lucas leaned heavily against the table, whispering, "That’s impossible. You don't have voting control."

I reached into my breast pocket, pulled out the official, notarized voting certificate, and laid it flat on the dining table for everyone to see.

"As the majority voting trustee, I legally removed Lucas from every single company position this afternoon," I declared, my voice ringing with finality. "Your monthly distributions are permanently suspended. The beach villa and the luxury vehicles you purchased with stolen funds have already been seized by the bank."

My mother completely lost her mind. The polished, aristocratic mask shattered, revealing the vicious, desperate woman underneath. She let out a guttural scream and lunged aggressively toward Elena, her hands outstretched like claws.

I stepped smoothly between them, catching my mother by the wrists and holding her back effortlessly.

"No," I said, staring directly into her wild, furious eyes. "You put your foot on my pregnant wife this morning and assumed I would just look away. You are never touching her again."

Behind Priya, three uniformed police officers entered the dining room.

Lucas panicked. He turned and bolted for the glass terrace doors, hoping to escape into the gardens. But my security team had already locked them from the outside. He slammed into the glass, sliding down to the floor in defeat.

My mother’s hysterical screams echoed through the grand house as the police officers calmly read them their rights and arrested them both for severe financial fraud, forgery, coercion, and unlawful restraint.
