A Quiet Encounter

A month later, Julian Vale was released from prison. There were no luxury cars waiting to pick him up, only a cargo truck belonging to the Castillo Charity Foundation.
Julian was gaunt, wearing worn-out clothes. When he was brought to the foundation's warehouse area, he met Alejandro.
"Mr. Castillo."
Julian bowed his head, not daring to look the powerful billionaire in the eye.
"I am not a forgiving man, Julian."
Alejandro said in an ice-cold voice.
"You are here because my wife believes every human being has the right to choose the light. You will clean the warehouse and carry medical supplies. One single mistake, and you will be back on the streets."
"Thank you, sir."
Julian said, tears welling in his eyes.

"I will not disappoint her."
And Julian did exactly that. He worked fourteen hours a day, without complaint, without demands, using his sweat to wash away the sinful "Vale" name.
