"Alejandro."
Elena spoke, her voice quiet but echoing clearly in his mind.
"Do you remember what I told you about this house? I said that it took so much from people, so it had to give something back."
Alejandro nodded, his chin brushing gently against her shoulder.

She continued, raising her eyes to meet his reflection in the mirror.
"And now... it is about to welcome a new life."
Alejandro frowned slightly. For the first few seconds, the sharp mind of the most ruthless billionaire in the business world seemed to completely shut down. He blinked, trying to analyze the meaning behind her words.
Then, his gaze slid downward. It slid from her face to her hands resting on her stomach.
