Chapter 3 - The Illusion of Total Defeat

Julián adjusted his expensive lapels and looked down at Claudia as if she were an incompetent intern he was about to fire.
"The mansion in Lomas, the fleet of cars, the corporate ledgers, the manufacturing labs,"
Julián listed off arrogantly, checking them off on his fingers.
"They are all registered under my name. You have absolutely nothing left, Claudia. Nothing. You don't even have enough liquidity in your accounts to rent a single room in this city."
A collective, nervous murmur rippled through the packed courtroom.
Julián’s lawyer, a slick man in a pinstripe suit, did not stop his client’s arrogant tirade. On the contrary, the lawyer was casually reviewing the case files with an incredibly satisfied smirk.
According to every document filed in the court, Julián had already won.
Salvatierra BioMed, the massive, highly lucrative corporation specializing in manufacturing advanced medical equipment for both private and public hospitals, was entirely registered under Julián's name. The sprawling estate was his.
