Clara dropped to her knees again, but this time to catch Leo as he ran into her arms. She buried her face in his shoulder, holding him with a fierce, unbreakable grip.

Lila knelt beside them, placing a gentle, reassuring hand on Clara’s back.

"You're safe now," Lila whispered. "Both of you."

Later that evening, the Rest House was quiet. Clara and Leo were resting in one of the warm, softly lit recovery rooms.

Lila stood in the hallway, watching her own daughter, Mira, carefully organizing a row of wooden blocks on the floor. Eleanor walked up beside her, carrying a tray of warm tea.

"You handled Vivienne perfectly today," Lila said softly, not taking her eyes off Mira.

"I knew exactly how to dismantle her," Eleanor replied, a profound humility in her voice. "Because I knew the exact architecture of her pride. Power isn't about forcing people to endure your pain, Lila. It's about building a room where that pain can't reach them."
