The Phoenix Initiative didn't have to wait long for its first major case. Two days later, a young man named Julian walked into the reception area, looking terrified. He was a low-level accountant for a massive pharmaceutical company, and he was clutching a encrypted hard drive like it was a life preserver.
Sarah sat across from him in the secure conference room. She recognized the look in his eyes—the exhaustion, the paranoia, the desperate need to do the right thing warring with the sheer terror of the consequences.
"They know I downloaded the files," Julian whispered, his hands shaking as he placed the drive on the table. "They’ve been following my wife. They threatened to revoke my medical insurance if I spoke to the FDA. I don't know what to do."
Sarah reached across the table, placing her hand gently over his trembling fingers.
"You don't have to be afraid anymore, Julian," Sarah said, her voice radiating a calm, unyielding authority. "You are not alone in this."
Julian looked up, tears welling in his eyes. "Can you stop them?"
"We are going to do more than stop them," Sarah promised, signaling for Chloe and the legal team to enter the room. "We are going to hold them accountable for every single threat they made against your family. We will secure your assets, we will protect your identity, and we will make sure the truth sees the light of day."
