Chapter 4: The Police Arrive
The police and ambulance arrived within fifteen minutes.
The entire family watched in stunned silence as paramedics cleaned the wound on my head and took photos of the bruises already forming on my face and neck. Jackson tried to say it was an accident. Genesis tried to say I was being dramatic.
I didn’t argue.
I simply showed the officers the security footage from the dining room camera I had installed months ago — just in case.
Jackson’s face went white when he realized I had recorded everything.
He was arrested on the spot.
Genesis screamed at me as they led him away.
“You’re destroying this family!”
