Chapter 10: The Fallout
Within forty-eight hours, Jackson and Genesis were removed from all positions in the company.
The board voted unanimously to keep me as acting CEO.
Jackson tried to fight it in court. He tried to say I had tricked him. He tried to say the shares were obtained illegally.
Nothing worked.
The evidence was too strong. The assault charges were still pending. And the company’s legal team discovered he had been embezzling money for years.
By the end of the month, Jackson was facing both divorce proceedings and criminal charges.
