Chapter 12: The Divorce

The divorce was finalized six months later.
Jackson lost almost everything. The court awarded me the apartment, a significant portion of his assets, and full ownership of the company shares.
He tried one last time to contact me after the final hearing.
I met him outside the courthouse with my lawyer beside me.
“You ruined me,” he said, eyes red with rage and something close to tears.
I looked at him without pity.

Then I got into my car and drove away.
