Chapter 19 - EQUAL CROWNS|

Lord Vance’s jaw dropped in absolute shock. "You... you are rejecting the London seat?!"

"I am not rejecting my inheritance," I corrected him coldly. "I am setting the terms. I own fifty-one percent of my life now. Nobody tells me where to live, what to dissolve, or who to answer to."

Lord Vance sputtered, looking around the room as if seeking help from the Boston elite, but every person in the room was staring at me with awe.

"You have thirty days to send the transfer papers to my office," I added, turning my back on him. "Dominic, show Lord Vance to the door."

Dominic stepped forward with a broad smirk, gesturing toward the entrance. "Right this way, my Lord."

Julian Vance snapped the velvet box shut and stormed out of the gallery in a fit of rage.

As the heavy oak doors closed behind him, Roman stepped up beside me. A rare, brilliant smile broke across his hard face.

"Two hundred million pounds," Roman whispered, his gray eyes dancing with pride. "And you told him to move London to Boston."

"Boston has better company," I said, looking up into his eyes.

Roman reached out, taking my hand gently in his. He didn't command me to take off a ring. He didn't claim me as property.

Instead, he slipped a simple, stunning diamond band onto my right index finger—a gesture of absolute respect.

"To equal crowns," Roman whispered, lifting my hand to his lips.

"To equal crowns," I agreed softly.
