Chapter 6: The Asset-Waiver Trap

Fernando looked from the lawyer to the black folder on the desk. His hands were trembling now, his volatile temperament pushed to its absolute limit.
“What is this?” Fernando demanded, his voice rising into a sharp, defensive edge.
The lawyer offered a small, clinical nod toward the document inside the folder.
“Twenty minutes ago, in your immense haste to clear your wife out of your life before the market opened, you greedily signed the expedited asset-waiver clause,” the lawyer explained, his voice entirely devoid of emotion. “You did so without waiting for a full legal review, assuming it simply stripped her of her marital claims based on the infidelity clause.”

By signing that expedited waiver to bypass a lengthy court battle, you have legally forfeited everything to her. The properties, the liquid funds, the controlling shares of Santillán Holdings. All of it.”
The silence that followed was suffocating. The entire room seemed to lose its gravity.
