The night before the wedding arrived with a heavy, suffocating tension hanging over the city. It wasn't just a marriage ceremony; it was a declaration of absolute war against the Rizzo family.

Dante walked into the room, wearing a simple black t-shirt and loose trousers. He looked exhausted, having spent the day organizing the tactical deployment of his soldiers around the cathedral.
He stood behind her, his hands resting gently on her bare shoulders, looking at their reflection in the mirror.
“Are you afraid?” Dante asked quietly.
“Terrified,” Nadia admitted, leaning her head back against his chest. “What if they breach the church? What if we don't make it out?”
“I will not let you die in that dress,” Dante vowed, his voice a low, rough rumble. He turned her around, lifting her out of the chair. “Tomorrow, we show them the true power of this family. But tonight...”

He kissed her, wiping away the fear, the politics, and the impending violence.
Nadia surrendered completely, letting the heat of his touch burn away the shadows. They fell into the massive bed, tangled in silk sheets, communicating everything they couldn't say with words through desperate, passionate touches. For one night, they weren't a mob boss and a hidden heir; they were just a man and a woman entirely consumed by each other, clinging to the dark before the dawn.
