The strategy shifted immediately. They were no longer playing defense; they were preparing for a brutal, theatrical execution of their enemies.
Dante summoned the three eldest capos of the commission to the penthouse under heavy guard.
Silvio, the old man who had questioned Nadia at the tailor, sat suspiciously at the table.
“Why have you called us here while we are under siege, Dante?” Silvio demanded. “Rizzo’s men are bold. They hit the tower. We look weak.”

Nadia stepped into the room. She carried the journal and a certified, expedited copy of her grandmother’s birth certificate, pulled by Dante’s top lawyers overnight.
She set the documents in front of the capos.
“You questioned my fire, Silvio,” Nadia said, her voice ringing with absolute, chilling authority. “You questioned my right to stand beside Dante. I suggest you read your own history.”
The old men leaned forward, scrutinizing the journal and the legal documents. When Silvio saw the photograph and read the lineage, his hands began to shake. He looked up at Nadia, his eyes wide with a mixture of terror and religious awe.
“Isabella’s blood,” Silvio whispered, crossing himself instinctively.
“I am the rightful heir to the silk,” Nadia declared, staring down the most dangerous men in the city. “Don Rizzo has attacked the true bloodline of the Leone family. What is the penalty for such treason, Silvio?”
The old capo stood up, bowing his head deeply to Nadia in absolute submission.

“Death,” Silvio rasped. “The commission will authorize a full purge of the Rizzo family. They are no longer protected.”
Dante smiled from the shadows. The trap was set, and the jaws were ready to snap shut.
