Chapter 19 - Life Begins Anew
The following months passed in a blur of domestic peace and immense fulfillment. The Rebirth Foundation grew exponentially, changing the lives of thousands of women. Slowly, my hair began to grow back, soft, feathery locks that now brushed against the nape of my neck. Even so, I often kept it styled short—I had fallen in love with this raw, authentic version of myself.
On a freezing winter evening, while heavy snow blanketed the New York skyline, I sat curled up on Liam’s lap in front of the roaring fireplace in our penthouse. I took his large, scarred hand and gently placed it over my lower stomach.
"The doctor said... we've been given a miracle,"
