Chapter 13 - The Public Execution

|
"Is it time?" Audrey asked over the phone line. She was sitting in her office in Denver, monitoring Eleanor’s social media outburst in real time.
"It's time," I replied. "Publish the entire archive."
Audrey didn't just post a short clip. She executed a masterclass in digital exposure.
She uploaded the full, unedited, three-minute stealth video directly to the comment section of Eleanor’s viral video, accompanied by the high-resolution audio track and the official police trespass report signed by the precinct commander.
To ensure total coverage, Audrey tagged every single member of the Vance extended family, Eleanor’s country club board of directors, her charity organization partners, and every prominent member of her social circle.
The caption Audrey wrote was simple:
“This is the 'loving grandmother' Eleanor Vance truly is when she thinks the cameras are off. Watch how she treats a bleeding mother and a crying newborn.”
The impact was instantaneous and devastating.
The internet does not forgive cruelty to a newborn and a suffering mother. Within twenty minutes, the video went viral across local networks. The very same people who had been offering Eleanor prayers and sympathy minutes earlier suddenly saw the grotesque reality behind the polished mask.
The comment section reversed direction like a tidal wave.
"My God... she smashed her pain medicine?!" *
"She forced a hemorrhaging woman onto her hands and knees?! She's a psychopath!" *
"Removing her from my charity board immediately. Absolutely disgusting." *

"I am sick to my stomach watching this. Eleanor Vance is a monster." *
By 6:00 PM, Eleanor’s phone was ringing off the hook with calls from horrified friends, family members cutting ties, and charity directors demanding her immediate resignation. Her precious, decades-long facade of social perfection had been reduced to radioactive ash in a single afternoon.
