The library exploded into a cacophony of sound.
Michael leaped out of his chair, staring at the screen in pure horror. "Victoria... what did you do?"
Charles Reynolds stood up so fast his chair flipped backward onto the Persian rug. He stared at the screen, his face turning a dangerous shade of crimson. The patriarch, who spent his entire life controlling outcomes, was utterly powerless against the reality playing before his eyes.
"Play it frame by frame," Detective Miller instructed.

There was no room for interpretation. No excuse of an accidental trip. The video clearly showed Victoria pushing Emily, watching her pitch forward, and then instantly stepping back three paces to assume a look of shocked innocence.
Emily closed her eyes. A single tear traveled down her cheek. It wasn't a feeling of victory that washed over her, but profound relief. Finally, someone believed her. She wasn't crazy. She wasn't a liar.
