The sun began to set, casting long shadows across the lake. The air grew cooler, and I wrapped my arm tighter around Ellen. We stood there for a long time, watching the sky change colors, a breathtaking canvas of orange, pink, and purple.
"This is beautiful," she whispered, leaning her head against my shoulder.
