Chapter 19 - The Celebration of Light

The reception was a feast of laughter, champagne, and dancing under a massive glass pavilion lit by thousands of twinkling fairy lights.
Laura gave a speech that had the entire room roaring with laughter, recalling the moment I had dropped Ryan’s ring on the pew and ordered champagne at the Plaza.
"To Victoria and Sebastian!" Laura toasted, raising her glass high. "The ultimate power couple who proved that a bad chapter doesn't mean the book is over!"
As the night grew late, Sebastian guided me away from the noise of the pavilion toward the edge of the lawn, where a quiet stone bench looked out over the glowing ocean.
I rested my head on his shoulder, his arm holding me close against the cool night air.
"Are you happy, Mrs. Sterling?" he asked softly, kissing the top of my head.
"I have never been so happy in my entire life," I murmured, staring out at the stars reflecting on the water. "Everything feels... right. Like every piece of the puzzle finally found its true place."
We sat in peaceful silence for a long time, watching the distant lighthouse beam sweep across the dark sea, breathing in the sweet scent of salt water and white roses.
My past was finally behind me. The pain, the betrayal, the lies—they had all burned away, leaving behind a foundation of pure iron and gold.
