Chapter 10: The Eternal Dawn

It was a winter night with heavy snowfall.
But inside the city's largest private hospital, the atmosphere was incredibly warm.
Alejandro stepped out of the delivery room.
He wore a wrinkled dress shirt, his hair was disheveled, but the smile on his lips was brighter than any sun.
In his arms was a tiny living being.
Wrapped in a pale pink woolen blanket.
Aurora Castillo.
The child named after the "Dawn."
He carried his daughter back to the bed where Elena was resting. She was exhausted and pale, but her eyes were shining with pure happiness.
"She has your eyes," Alejandro whispered, placing a lingering kiss on his wife's forehead.
Elena reached out and touched her daughter's soft cheek.
"And your exact frown."
Alejandro laughed.
He looked at the tiny life sleeping soundly in his arms.
He had once sworn to kill anyone who dared touch Elena.
He had once thought his hands only knew how to destroy and protect through violence.
But now, those very hands were cradling the most precious thing in the universe.
"Welcome to the world, Aurora," Alejandro said softly to his daughter. "I promise you... your world will only have blue skies and warm, sunny days."
Years passed.
At the Castillo estate.
A three-year-old girl was running around the vibrant rose garden, her crystalline laughter echoing through the air.
Chasing after her was a golden retriever, wagging its tail furiously.
On the second-floor balcony, Elena and Alejandro stood leaning against each other, watching their daughter play.
The wind blew gently through Elena’s hair.
"What are you thinking about?" she asked, resting her head on his shoulder.
Alejandro wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer.
"I'm thinking about tomorrow."
"Only tomorrow?"
"And the day after. And ten years from now. And fifty years from now."
He turned her around, looking deep into the eyes that were once filled with panic, now reflecting only a tranquil lake.
"I used to live without a tomorrow, Elena. Until you came back."
Elena stood on her tiptoes, pressing a deep, lingering kiss to his lips.
Down below, Aurora tripped and fell on the grass. She didn't cry; she stood up on her own, dusted off her hands, and continued chasing the brightly colored butterflies.
They weren't running anymore.
There were no more enemies in the dark.
No more buried secrets.
All that remained was love, forgiveness, and a complete family.
Finally...
The birdcage was shattered.
The darkness had retreated.

And the dawn had truly risen over the Castillo empire.
Forever.
