Chapter 10

Chapter 10: The Throne and the Heart
The police escorted Marco away, his shouts of rage fading into the distance.
The gala continued, the atmosphere now filled with a sense of relief and victory.
Arya stood in the center of the garden, the cool evening air brushing against her skin.
Dante walked over, his expression softer than she had ever seen it.
“You did well,” he said, standing close to her.
“I had a good teacher,” Arya replied, looking up at him.
Dante took her hand, his thumb stroking her palm.
“I don’t want you to leave,” he said, his voice barely a whisper.
“This house, this foundation, this life,” he listed.
“It’s all yours,” he insisted.
Arya smiled, feeling the weight of the past finally lift from her shoulders.
“It’s ours,” she corrected, her voice firm and filled with love.
Dante looked at her, a slow, genuine smile spreading across his face.
He pulled her closer, his hand resting on the small of her back.
“Ours,” he agreed.
The estate, once a place of fear and secrets, was now a sanctuary of truth and love.
And for the first time, Arya didn't just feel like a maid, or an assistant, or a partner.
She felt like home.
She stood in the garden, surrounded by the life she had reclaimed.
