“I told you not to bring him here,” the mother whispered, her voice breaking.

“You told me to give him a normal life,” the man replied. “This is what the world calls normal.”

Cruelty. Assumptions. Power games.

The bride’s father stepped back, sweat forming along his temples. “We… we didn’t know.”

“No,” the man said. “You didn’t bother to.”

He turned toward the fallen woman.

“You saw simple clothes,” he continued. “You saw a quiet child. And you decided that gave you the right to humiliate him.”

“I—I can fix this,” she stammered. “Name your price.”

The man’s expression didn’t change.

“That’s your problem,” he said. “You think everything has a price.”
