Chapter 13 - The New Atelier|

Three months later.
The historic brick building in the heart of SoHo—formerly the original Monroe Design Studio that Victoria had shut down ten years ago—was glowing with bright, warm lights.
Large glass windows displayed magnificent silk gowns, delicate embroidery work, and tailored velvet coats. Above the entrance, elegant gold lettering read: MONROE ATELIER.
Inside, the studio was bustling with activity. Dozens of young, talented seamstresses worked at long oak tables, their laughter and bright chatter filling the high-ceilinged room.
Ava stood near the central cutting table, holding a measuring tape over her shoulder, reviewing a technical sketch for her upcoming Autumn Showcase.
The front door chimed softly.
Ava turned around and smiled instantly.
Niko walked into the studio, wearing a dark gray suit, holding a large bouquet of rare black roses tied with a dark green velvet ribbon.
“For the lead designer,” Niko said smoothly, handing the flowers to her.
Ava took the roses, smelling their sweet, subtle fragrance. “You come here every day at four o'clock, Niko. People are going to think the chairman of Moretti Holdings has nothing better to do.”
“I don't have anything better to do,” Niko replied, stepping closer, his hands tucked casually into his pockets. “How is the new collection coming along?”
“It’s almost ready,” Ava beamed, pointing toward a dress form in the corner of the studio.
Resting on the mannequin was the emerald green gown—completely restored. The torn seam had been repaired using gold embroidery thread, turning the damaged hem into an exquisite, glowing piece of art.
Niko walked over, examining the gold stitches with quiet admiration.

“It’s even more beautiful than it was at the gala,” Niko noted softly.
“Because it’s no longer a broken memory,” Ava said, stepping beside him. “It’s a victory.”
