Chapter 4: The Unyielding Stand

Refusing to be intimidated by the groom's aggressive outburst, the little girl stood her ground right at the edge of the bride's flowing white gown. Instead of crying or retreating from the terrifying display of adult fury, her small chin jutted out in stubborn defiance. She gripped her digital camera even tighter, shielding it instinctively as the groom lunged forward in a frantic attempt to seize it from her.

"Stop!" cried a bridesmaid from the sidelines, her voice trembling as she rushed forward to insert herself between the enraged man and the defenseless child. The chapel descended into complete chaos, with guests shouting cross-examinations and the officiant stepping back from the altar in utter disbelief. Yet, the little girl remained entirely focused, her large eyes looking up past the cascading lace of the wedding dress toward the trembling bride.

"She's lying!" the groom roared again, pointing a shaking finger at the child while trying to force a laugh that sounded more like a desperate plea. He attempted to close the distance, but the wall of protective onlookers and the sheer absurdity of his behavior kept him at bay. The child's unyielding posture created a visual anchor in the middle of the storm, a stark contrast between pure innocence and defensive desperation.

This confrontation at the altar transformed the wedding from a joyous celebration into a tense courtroom trial without a judge. The little girl's refusal to back down forced every person present to choose a side, recognizing that the conflict was no longer about a disrupted ceremony, but about something far more sinister hidden in the shadows of the groom's past.
